Introduction

I grew up in a small town in Vermont and attended high school over the border in New York. After high school, I went straight to college and graduated with a B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. This is my second year at the University of Rhode Island studying Couple and Family Therapy. During my time in the program I have been given the opportunity to teach parenting classes, facilitate groups for children and adolescents, and work with teachers as well as working with clients. I came to Rhode Island for my love of the ocean and because of my husband’s military orders. Outside of school I am an active person and enjoy running, hiking, water skiing, boating, kayaking, and being outdoors.
